Meet The Culture Counselor
Dr. Kendra Cabler is passionate about people and culture. As a learning and development professional, she specializes at the intersection of leadership and diversity, equity, and inclusion within communities and organizations.
An experienced consultant, facilitator, and educator; she holds a Ph.D. in Adult Learning and Organizational Leadership from Virginia Commonwealth University, an M.Ed. in Educational Policy, Planning, and Leadership and a B.A. in Sociology, both from the College of William & Mary. Her academic research focuses on the development of cultural competence in higher education professionals and the implications for university communities.
With over a decade of experience as a talent and culture strategist, Dr. Kendra has worked with senior leaders in corporate, higher education, non-profit, and government sectors to explore what it means to cultivate and sustain a culture of inclusion across the organization. She supports clients through assessment and strategy to develop strategic solutions to organizational challenges. Working with stakeholders to impact organizational culture by engaging employees, supporting leaders, and responding to the shifting needs of our global world is where her work comes to life.
Dr. Kendra believes authentic connections make space for greater collaboration, productivity, trust, growth, and ultimately desired outcomes. As someone that often takes some time to warm up and feel out the environment before jumping right in, she understands what a gift connection can be. Dr. Kendra works to create environments that allow and encourage everyone to thrive by operating in ways that are authentic and human. Sometimes that means slowing down to get aligned and other times we’re able to run full speed ahead together.
Based in Richmond, VA you can find Dr. Kendra and her husband around town with their beagle, Princess (Camp MVP 12 years running).
